What if a sculptor were to design a sports park?
In 2013 Het Instituut was commissioned by the municipality of Borne to come up with a design vision for a multipurpose sports park.
Het Instituut invited Wouter Klein Velderman to carry out this project. The municipality of Borne recently approved his proposal (July 2016). Transcending the idea of a sports park Klein Velderman proposed a meeting place for the people of Borne where sports and exercise play an important role. The park will be built in a relatively cheap and environmentally friendly way. Together with the architects Superuse Studios Klein Velderman developed a building format in which residual materials from the surroundings will be reused in the construction of the park.
