Speed Of Culture, Change Of Sculpture 2008/ 2009, sewn PVC fabric, wood, synthetic silk, suspenders, bookbinders glue, acrylic paint, found objects

"Speed of culture, change of sculpture" is a project that I did during a 6 month residency in Lisbon, Portugal. The residency was initiated by Spazioborgogno, Milan (IT).

I was working in a vacant building in the centre of Lisbon. The building used to be a manufactory for suspenders and ties. Though the building was abandoned, all rooms were still fully loaded with products, furniture and other treasures of old times.

Speed Of Culture, Change Of Sculpture is supported by: Diga Lisboa, Spazioborgogno Milan and The Mondriaan Fund.

Invitation on the exhibition Speed of culture, change of sculpture on the 1st of May, 2009 in Lisbon (P).

Theme work #2 2008/2009, sewn PVC fabric, wood, synthetic silk, suspenders, cuff links, couch, 206 x 88 x 210 cm

Carriage 2008/2009, sewn PVC fabric, wood, synthetic silk, leather, cardboard, suspenders, 400 x 135 x 230 cm

Model for carriage. Carriage was build in perspective. In my studio I set three vanishing points: x, y and z. X and y were literally there, z was far away, under ground level. All horizontal and vertical lines, that together would form the ribs of the object, were leading towards these three points.
