At Art Rotterdam 2016, C&H art space presented the work of Erik de Bree and Wouter Klein Velderman. The core of this presentation consisted of two monumental works. These two works were accompanied by a landscape of small works. The visitor would find himself within a vacuum of forms and figures.

This choice was based on the desire to evoke a reaction in the whole booth and transform it into a meeting point for the two installations and the viewer. The intention was to create a dialog between the two ways of working that these artists embrace.

The two artists have a common departure point in their work. They both study the material in depth. For them the material dictates the path that needs to be followed. However, it is the artists' choice to either follow or reject the imposed shapes.

A new welding technique that Klein Velderman uses brings a different pace into his work; it makes the sculptures become spatial drawings.
